Due to Budget cuts, the Evergreen Radio Reading Service has lost its funding and staff. However, in an attempt to keep radio listeners connected, we are able to produce a number of local programs and get programming from other stations around the country. For now, we will continue to provide 24/7 programming, but of a varying quality and with frequent repeats. Please contact the library for information or with your comments and questions.
Listen Live: Use the links below to listen to the live, online web stream of the radio signal from the Evergreen Radio Reading Service.
All programming heard on the Evergreen Radio Reading Service is designed solely for the use of the blind and visually- or print-impaired. ERRS is broadcast on subcarrier channels of public radio stations KUOW in Seattle, KPBX in Spokane, and KFAE in the Tri-Cities. Special receivers are available from WTBBL at no charge for those living in these areas. Please call the library to learn more and to order your radio receiver.
The Evergreen Radio Reading Service also produces several orginal programs that can be downloaded. These programs include: Literary News, The Talk Show, Kitchen Corner and Science Fiction Hour. Other downloadable programming are the shopping programs (Grocery Cart, Eastern Bargains and Shopping News), which feature advertisements for grocery stores around Washington state.
